The Fosse Way

Dave BrownShepton 21 member Dave Brown and admin secretary Mike Perry walked some of the Fosse Way this week to see if better signage could be made available.

Our countryside locally is one of our biggest resources and we need to make more of it.

Most of the track is in very good condition, particularly leading up to the Beacon Hill, which is well looked after by the Beacon Hill Society, but the signage could be improved and we are looking at the possibility of getting sponsorship from some of the local pubs and other businesses.

It might also be very helpful to have an information board about the Fosse Way at the Old Brewery end highlighting the Roman origins.
